Keeping Busy in Piccotts End

Often mistaken for a hamlet, the village of Piccotts End, is surrounded by picturesque landscape and open green areas, making it the ideal spot for those looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. When you’ve worked up a healthy appetite in the fresh, open air, The Marchmont Arms provides the perfect spot to refresh and refuel in stylish surroundings.

Aside from The Marchmont Arms, the village’s main attraction is the Piccotts End Paintings. These paintings, found on the walls of one of the cottages in the village date back to the 15th century, pose a mystery when it comes to who painted them and why.

In the neighbouring town of Hemel Hempstead, you’ll find plenty of amenities and attractions – all of which are close enough to incorporate a visit to The Marchmont Arms into your day!

Close to the border with Piccotts End, you’ll find the remains of a Roman villa in Gadebridge Park, whilst The Snow Centre and Planet Ice will allow you to work up a healthy appetite.

And, if you’ve visited the nearby Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour, make sure you come and experience our magical menu before you head home.
